Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management

Iago & Zazu's Attraction of the Week

Zazu: Hello, Iago and I would like to welcome you to our home on the web....

Iago: Yeah, we'd like to, but all you get is this tacky HTML file. We're busy spending our money.

Zazu: Some of us are earning our money too, Iago.

Iago: Whatever turns you on, buddy.

Zazu: Yes, well, we hope you are "turned on" by our little efforts here, and that you enjoy your stay.

Iago: Hey Zazu, you gonna tell them what this place is?

Zazu: You're quite right, Iago, for a change. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, my associate and I have been writing a weekly column for the rec.arts.disney.parks newsgroup on Disney Park attractions ever since June of 1998. Each week, we select an attraction and discuss its history, story, technology, and trivia. Due to popular demand, we have assembled the best of our efforts here for your enjoyment and education.

Iago: Yeah, also so we could write off our ISP bills on our taxes.

Zazu: Don't be silly, Iago. Since when did you ever pay your taxes?

Iago: Good point! Matches the two on your head.

Zazu: That sounds like a pleasant note to end with. Oh, speaking of notes, each of the pages linked below has a musical file attached for your entertainment. If you're reading this late at night -- or at work -- you might want to turn the sound down or off before you proceed.

Iago: Yeah, bad enough to have to read this junk without having to hear it too!

Iago: Hey Zazu! I think we missed a few.

Zazu: They aren't really missing, they're just not quite ready yet.

Iago: Not ready? But what if I want to see them anyway? Can I get a sneak peek?

Zazu: Well, we really shouldn't....

Iago: Aww, why not? It's not like this stuff is coming from Imagineering you know.

Zazu: No, but Imagineering has a good point about not letting guests in until everything is just as perfect as they can make it, and I think that's a good idea, don't you?

Iago: Perfect, schmerfect! I say, let 'em look. Besides, don't those fancy Imagineers open their attractions to guests before the grand opening to make sure they're all working?

Zazu: Well, you have a point there. I suppose we could have a "soft opening" for some of our guests, but they'd have to understand that things might be ... well, less than complete.

Iago: Big deal! So's Animal Kingdom. Folks, if you've got a strong stomach for buggy web pages, there's more stuff in our Soft Opening Index for you to look at. Have a ball, it's on me!

Zazu: It'll be on your head if this doesn't work. Oh, and if you see anything amiss in the Soft Opening pages, please let us know. We're always trying to make improvements.

Zazu Zazu: If you should chance to have any difficulty or find an error on any of these pages, the responsibility is probably mine. I would very much appreciate you letting me know so that we can make corrections. Please send your email corrections and complaints to Zazu.

Iago: Yeah, and if you think this stuff is really great and you love it, the responsibility is mine, all mine! Email your praise to Iago! And if you can't make up your mind, email your wishy-washy remarks to both of us, and we'll both get a laugh.

Tiki Weekly Enterprises would like to offer our sincere thanks to our web host, Amberthree Productions, home of EntertainMuck -- "Where You are the Star!"

Would you like to learn more about our feathered hosts' alter egos? (And what large egos they are!) You can visit Iago's home page or Zazu's home page if you think you can stand them separately.

We would also like to thank the many good and generous folk who sequenced the MIDI files used on this site. Alas, we do not know who most of they are. If you do, please let us know so that we can give them proper credit.
